The Mulberry Bush is a Charity founded in 1948 by Barbara Dockar- Drysdale to meet the needs of severely emotionally troubled and traumatised children, who were dislocated from their families during the national evacuation campaign of WW2.
Today the Mulberry Bush School remains a thriving therapeutic community that continues to meet the needs of children aged 5- 13 and their families. Through an integrated and highly evolved model of therapeutic care and education, our aim is to reintegrate each child into an appropriate family and school. We offer 38 and 52 week services.
The Charity has continued to evolve and via our Learning and Research Centre and our MB3 events centre, we now offer Outreach, training, consultancy, research and archive services, with an award winning portfolio of trainings based on our TC principles and values, to meet the needs of professionals and other beneficiaries both nationally and internationally.
