Amberleigh Care operate two fully accredited therapeutic communities for adolescent boys. Golfa Hall has 19 places, The Oaks has 12 places. Our specialism is understanding and managing harmful sexual behaviour (HSB) but this is always underpinned by extensive early life trauma, adverse childhood experiences, abuse and often accompanied by other needs such as autistic spectrum disorders or mild learning difficulties. We work with young people straight from home, from fostering or residential care breakdowns, we can be an alternative to custody option (for justice routes) or a step down from secure. Our work is planned, long term and successful. We achieve this through evidence based practice that is theoretically informed, and matched to both our profile of boys and our TC operating model. First established in 2004 and ‘approved providers’ for over 90% of local authorities in England and Wales, we are active members of TCTC, The Community of Communities, National Organisation for the Treatment of Abuse (NOTA). www.amberleighcare.co.uk for more details on our work.
